The time lag between thinking and doing

This again maybe a sign that I'm becoming more risk-averse with age and experience. The time between when I think I should do something and the time I actually get down to doing it has increased drastically over the years.

If I were put it politically correctly and for a more formal audience, I would say that 'I spend a lot more time planning' or 'I have become less intuitive and more detail-oriented'. But the fact of the matter maybe that I've grown just plain lazy!

I am consciously working on kicking this inertia out of my work life (well, technically acad life now).

Some where i read 80% of intuitive decisions are successful. May be based on the quantum of resulting damages we can be intuitive.

I do not think its uncommon for the any Homosapien to develop this. Yes, sometimes its laziness. But its also that there is a lot more at stake for people at 25 rather than at 15 or 18. So developing a cautious approach or may-be a logically thought out approach is hard-wired into most.
